4 Reasons Commercial Spaces Should Use Pop-Up Sprinkler Systems

If you're responsible for a commercial space that contains a large section of lawn or other greenery, you're going to have to keep that space looking its best. The most fundamental need of any green space is water, which means you're almost certainly going to need a sprinkler system to keep everything looking fresh and healthy.

Of course, there are several commercial sprinkler systems from which to choose. Each type has its own benefits and drawbacks, but most commercial spaces are best watered by pop-up sprinkler systems. These retract beneath the ground for most of the day, then pop up whenever you set them to water. Here are just four reasons they're ideal for commercial spaces.

1. No Tripping Hazards

One of the main benefits of pop-up sprinklers is that they can't be tripped over nearly as easily as fixed sprinkler systems. After all, they will be completely retracted for most of the day, and it's hard to miss them and trip up when they are above ground since this is exactly when they will be spraying out water. This is great for any kind of outside space, but it can be particularly beneficial for commercial spaces since you'll often have less control over who walks on your grass.

2. Less Likely to Get Damaged

You want to ensure your sprinkler system lasts for years without ever sustaining damage. Pop-up systems are ideal since they are much harder to damage. They aren't going to be knocked by anything or anyone, and they're going to be better protected from the elements than fixed sprinkler systems. This means you're less likely to find yourself facing the cost and inconvenience of repairs or replacements.

3. Better Appearance

The way your commercial space looks has a big impact on how people view your business, and the outside space is likely to be the first thing anyone sees. That's one reason it's so important to keep your green areas watered in the first place. Pop-up sprinkler systems tend to create the best-looking spaces since they create a clear and open area that isn't visually broken up.

4. Easier Management

Finally, keep in mind that pop-up sprinklers make it much easier to perform other landscaping tasks. Everything from mowing to fertilizing can be tougher than you need to work around a fixed sprinkler system. With a pop-up system, the sprinklers might as well not even be there when they are retracted. This makes landscaping work much faster and easier.
